How do I choose the right Bigblue dive light?
The Bigblue dive lamp range is very wide. The following choices will help you on your way to choosing the lamp that suits you best...
Photo/video or regular diving light?
When you use your dive light as your primary light source to shine during your dive, or when you communicate with your buddy with your light, a narrow beam is important. A focus of around 10° will give you a light spot that allows you to illuminate things well and figures can experience to communicate. Photographers and videographers do not want this and therefore choose a wide beam angle.

Light output?
The light intensity of a diving lamp is expressed in lumens. For each type of Bigblue diving lamp, the manufacturer also gives the light intensity in the name. The more lumens, the more powerful the beam of light.
- 250-450 lumens: ideal for backup lamps
- From 1200 lumens: recreational primary lamp and recreational photo and video applications
- From 2600 lumens: technical diving and advanced photo and video applications
All the scents and colours
The Bigblue dive lights are already very complete and very modular as standard. For example, all batteries are rechargeable, they have an adjustable light output and each light already comes with sufficient accessories for the intended dives.
If you want to be able to use specific accessories or if, for example, a built-in colour filter is useful instead of an add-on filter, you can further refine your choice in the specifications of the lamp in question or via the accessory tables in the catalogue.
