The MK17 EVO/G260 is perfect for both technical and cave diving. The new MK17 EVO is completely shielded from the water and therefore works flawlessly, no matter how cold the water is. Although it is more compact than its predecessor, it breathes better. Internally, the design has been improved to allow more air to come out of the low pressure ports, which have been reconfigured for better hose connection. Combined with the highly regarded G260, this first stage delivers superior performance under the most extreme conditions.

Technical

first stage

  • Air-balanced diaphragm provides constant, effortless airflow regardless of depth, tank pressure and breathing rate.
  • The system is completely sealed so that the internal mechanism is not affected by water and contamination.
  • Due to the dry ambient pressure chamber, the first stage is all the better protected against freezing and the airflow is consistent even in the coldest conditions.
  • Two high-pressure and four low-pressure ports with a high flow rate ensure optimum air supply and allow the hoses to be connected as required.
  • The intermediate pressure can be adjusted externally, so that technicians can control the flow quickly and easily.
  • Available as 232 bar INT or 300 bar DIN.
  • The DIN version has a new two-material wheel with an ergonomic shape and a soft grip on a robust black nylon frame.

second stage

  • The air-balanced valve provides optimal breathing comfort at different depths and at varying tank pressures.
  • Featuring SCUBAPRO's largest housing and diaphragm, the nylon fiberglass second stage is incredibly responsive no matter how you position yourself in the water.
  • Thanks to the front cap ring made of dark anodized aluminum, the second stage is scratch-resistant without being heavier.
  • The metal components, such as the metal valve seat and the metal inlet pipe, make the second stage more resistant to freezing when diving under extreme conditions.
  • The exhalation valve has a high flow rate, which means that exhalation takes less effort and the second stage breathes all the more pleasantly.
  • With the button that allows the diver to control the inhalation resistance, the air output can be adjusted according to depth, water conditions and personal preference.
  • The VIVA (Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist) lever for Dive or Pre-Dive mode prevents blowing in cold water or when used as an octopus.
  • The hose can be connected either left or right in technical configurations.
  • The Superflow hose has an extra large diameter so that more air is supplied when inhaled.
  • The extremely pleasant, orthodontically shaped mouthpiece fits well in the mouth and does not impede the airflow.
  • Airflow at 200 bar/2900 psi: 1800 l/min.
